DAC Surprise

You've seen this building before, but one of its occupants was a personally exciting surprise - DAC the Danish Architecture Center.

They had a spectacular exhibit called Formgiving, installed by an international Danish architectural firm BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group). They displayed models, design studies, material selections and photographs of their projects around the world, including several in the US (one on NYC's Hudson River).

Duck !!

Though the weather forecast for today was threatening, we woke to blue skies and lighter winds than expected, so we headed to to the docks nearby for a canal boat tour.

(I'll spare you photos of previously posted sites viewed from water level)

The dock we launched from was distinctly more pedestrian that the Royal Family's modest boathouse.

This is the HDMS Peder Skram, a now retired frigate of the Royal Danish Navy responsible for what is now known as the "Oops Missle". In 1982, it accidentally fired a Harpoon missle which skimmed the water for over 30km, narrowly missing several loaded ferries,  severed several power lines and destroyed 4 Danish vacation cottages...
No one was injured in the incident, but the Cold War was never the same.

And the title ?

Anthony Enjoys His Food

In a recent post, Anthony mentioned that we ate at an excellent seafood restaurant on board (Pacific Rim).
These pics give you an idea of how he enjoyed it...

( If you zoom in on his pocket in the last photo, you can see he's now wearing the tiny clothespin from his entree!)
