¼ CPH > EWR
Well, our trip is coming to its end and we have to make our way back home. First, a celebratory toast to beautiful Copenhagen before we check out.
The trip to and through the airport could not have been smoother. A taxi steps from our door, a 5 minute bag check and thanks to our US GlobalEntry* status, another 5 minutes through security.
The quick trip here means we'll relax in the SAS lounge for some time. Not a burden, it has a typically Nordic breakfast spread, cocktails and Chardonnay & Zinfandel on-tap.
As for the title, after the Danish Design Museum, I tried going graphic --
Even if the Copenhagen airport was one quarter as nice, it would still be greater than Newark.
*Even if you only travel domestically, worth applying.

I'm Speechless, Too
For our last night in Copenhagen, we decided to have dinner at a more upscale place (named Restaurant Barr) serving new nordic cuisine.
We've read/heard much about this trend -- which takes farm to table dining to a new level -- and wanted to see what all the buzz was about.
Well, I don't know what to say except that it was extraordinary. Everything about it (food, wine, service, atmosphere) conspired to make us feel grand while eating the simplest of foods in an old warehouse. ( Could this be hygge?)
This first picture (appetizer) which was served with smoked cheese that they'd made earlier in the day and bread hot from the oven, says it all. Such abundance!
I'll let the rest of the pictures speak for themselves since I am at a loss.
Enjoy!
